Curriculum & Assessment Information

In order to meet the needs of our students in an ever-changing world, our Subject Area Committees (SACs), have designed and developed a series of curricula which are vertically aligned to the state standards focusing on rigor and relevance while maximizing the learning  that takes place in the classroom.  As the district continues to review and revise its curriculum, we will make it available to our stakeholders on this page.

In addition, we'd like you to be aware of some testing dates for this school year.  It would be helpful if you would not schedule vacations, appointments or other events that cause your child to miss school during the testing windows.  Some dates have yet to be determined, but here is the information we have at this point:

Jan. 24-Mar. 4 (The actual date is TBD)- National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) (Grades 4 & 8)

March 29th- ACT (Grade 11)

April 12-May 6- WY-TOPP Summative Assessment Window (Grades 3-10)
Sincerely,

Shannon Harris

Sublette County School District #1 Annual Report Card

DISTRICT INFORMATION

This annual report card has been designed to provide district stakeholders with data to support effective communication, system analysis, and improvement planning.
Please be aware that no school performance ratings will be provided for the 2020-21 school year due to the lack of testing in 2020 due to COVID-19.   We are hopeful that the state and federal accountability systems will resume following the 2021-22 school year.

Superintendent- Shannon Harris

Wyoming school districts and schools are held accountable at both a state and federal level. State accountability is defined in the Wyoming Accountabillity in Education Act of 2013 (WAEA). This law takes into account measures specifically related to educational goals in Wyoming. Federal accountability is transitioning from the requirements of No Child Left Behind (NCLB) to a locally controlled Wyoming accountability system that meets federal guidelines defined in the recently passed Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
