MISSION STATEMENT: In partnership with parents and our community, Sublette County School District #1 is committed to providing a student centered, 21st Century learning experience that will inspire all students to become lifelong learners and prepare each of them to be responsible and successful adults in a global society.
In the past couple of years, several school districts in Wyoming have decided to withdraw some of their schools from the National School Lunch Program. SCSD 1 is beginning to conduct research on what this might look like in our district, if we were to consider opting out some of our schools. It would free our food service team from the federal meal planning requirements, however it would undoubtedly increase costs, perhaps substantially so, as the district would no longer receive the reimbursements for the qualified school lunches it served.
Join the conversation at ENGAGE SCSD 1. Sublette County School District #1 has launched an online platform to provide opportunities for Sublette County School District #1 and those we serve to work together, by connecting our stakeholders directly to the education challenges we face. We believe the best way to tackle the challenges that affect our schools is with all interested parties involved. By using a platform that allows members of the community to contribute from their own homes and on their own schedules, we believe that we will be able to engage a broader audience. And with this broader audience comes a broader range of ideas, solutions and participation. We hope you will take this opportunity to join us in our efforts to gain a better understanding of what's important to you, our stakeholders. Together, we can build better schools!
